school partnerships
Bringing the Waypoint framework into the schools where adolescent girls need it most.
Anxiety, perfectionism, and social media pressure don't stay in the therapy room and they don't stay at home either. They show up in the classroom, in the hallway, in the counselor's office, and in every interaction a struggling student has with the adults at her school.
School counselors, psychologists, and administrators are often the first point of contact for adolescent girls in distress. They are working hard, with enormous caseloads and limited time, to support students whose needs are becoming increasingly complex. Waypoint Therapy's school partnership services are designed to support that work, not replace it.
What school partnerships offer:
Consultation for school counselors and psychologists
One-to-one or small group consultation for school-based mental health professionals working with anxious, perfectionistic, or socially struggling adolescent girls. Sessions draw directly from the Waypoint Resilience Model helping school clinicians apply the five pillars framework in a school setting, identify which students may benefit from structured outside treatment, and make confident, informed referrals.
Professional development workshops
Half-day or full-day workshops for school counseling teams, student support staff, or faculty on the following topics:
Understanding anxiety in adolescent girls: what it looks like, what maintains it, and what helps
Perfectionism in high-achieving students: how to support without reinforcing
Social media and adolescent self-worth: what schools can and can't do
How to talk to parents about their daughter's mental health
Recognizing when a student needs outside clinical support and how to refer effectively
Referral partnership
Waypoint Therapy welcomes referral relationships with schools across New Jersey. If you are a school counselor or psychologist who regularly works with adolescent girls and are looking for a trusted specialist to refer to, I would welcome the conversation. Referral partners receive a direct line of communication, clear feedback loops (with appropriate consent), and the confidence of knowing their students are in a structured, evidence-based program.
Who this is for:
Middle and high school counselors and psychologists in New Jersey
Student support teams working with high-achieving or anxiety-prone student populations
School administrators looking to build staff capacity around adolescent mental health
Independent and private schools seeking specialist consultation or professional development
Agencies wanting to use research to support IEP outcomes and exposure therapy for anxiety
A note on fit:
Waypoint Therapy's school partnership services are deliberately narrow in scope. The focus is adolescent girls, anxiety-based presentations, and the three specific challenges the Waypoint model was built to address. This is not a broad student wellness program, it is deep, specialist expertise in a defined area, offered to schools that want exactly that.
